An athlete completes one round of a circular track of diameter 200m in 40s .What will be the distance covered and the displacement at the end 2 min 20s?

Solution :

Since,

The athelete complets one round in 40seconds

Therefore,

 No. of revolution in 2min

20seconds=(2*60+20)/40

             =140/40=  3.5

The 3.5 revolution means 3 complete revolution and a half revolution

Therefore,

The athelete is on the diametrically opposite side of the starting point.

Therefore,

 The displacement =  the length of diameter

200m
